A treat this week as Dennis Pogue remembers the discovery of the South Grove Midden.  It was April 1990 and Mount Vernon’s grounds crew was installing a sprinkler system when Dennis, Chief Archaeologist got the call that a lot of artifacts were found in one particular hole.  The rest is history!
